A method is claimed for the hot agglomeration of particles or pre-reduced iron ores for the production of iron in ingots. The particles of hot pre-reduced iron ore in the pre-reduction furnace are simply mixed with an aluminium powder or a metal powder containing aluminium before being charged into the reduction melting furnace in such a manner that the particles are agglomerated.
